About The Author:
Kavitha Rao is a freelance journalist and columnist who lives between Bangalore and Istanbul. Her work has appeared in both international and national publications including the Guardian, the New York Times, Time, the National, the South China Morning Post, Caravan, Elle India, Vogue India and several others. Kavitha began her professional career as a lawyer and business journalist for the Economic Times.She now writes on the arts, environment, current affairs and social issues.
